Mcdonald's... REALLY?

The golden arches are the most recognized symbol in the world. The restaurant provides food for people in 119 countries, especially the USA. There are even 179 restaurants in India where most people don't eat either beef or pork.
Mcdonald’s has a daily customer traffic of 62 million, that’s more than the population of Great Britain and the company is still growing. There's 76 countries left to colonize. Growth is no problem, and Mcdonald’s plans to open one restaurant every day for the next three years in China alone.
Selling 75 hamburgers (amongst other products) per second helps towards the corporation’s $24 Billion in revenue. Mcdonald’s franchise stores bring in a revenue of $32 billion, that makes the company the 68th biggest economy in the world, that’s bigger than countries such as Ecuador! Mcdonald’s does have good points such as their ‘apprenticeship’ schemes which help to put the employees through qualifications sometimes as high as degrees. Mcdonald’s also creates a vast amount of jobs, estimated at over one million per year in the US alone. Company figures indicate that one in every eight Americans have worked for Mcdonald’s, including Sharon Stone, Shania Twain, Jay Leno, Rachel McAdams and Pink. However these employees suffer a 60% annual staff turnover (300% in America!) as well as being trained to sweat for pence. 75% of all employees are under 21 years of age who are duped into believing they are gained a trade in kitchen work, until they try to find employment elsewhere. The ‘kitchen skills’ learned in a Mcdonald’s restaurant are more liked to production line experience.
It is believed that the famous ‘golden arches’ is more widely known than the religious symbol of the cross. That comes as no surprise considering Mcdonald’s main target is children and the corporation is responsible for 20% of all toy distribution in the world.
So there are some facts about Mcdonald’s finances and figures, and with figures like that it is no surprise that the Queen of England herself owns a franchise near Buckingham Palace.

Now, what’s the problem? You might be asking, Mcdonald’s is very successful and helps individuals gain employment and qualifications all over the world…
That’s correct, it does. However the employees are paid notoriously low wages for long shifts and minimal benefits as well as being subjected to daily abuse from customers with no protection from ‘supervisors’ or ‘managers’.

Mcdonald's also funds the constructions of schools in the US with the agreement that the government provides the learning and Mcdonald's provides the cafeteria. So here is Mcdonald's turning America's youth into a captive audience for five days every week! I'm sure that will do the obesity issue a world of good!

The main reason I wrote this blog was to show you what the food actually is. Fair enough, it’s tasty and keeps the kids happy! But when you’ve seen some of this you may think twice.

This is not ice-cream, or the famous thick milkshake… This is what your chicken nuggets are filled with and I’m sure you’ll agree, it looks like it’s never seen a chicken in it’s life! It is ‘mechanically separated chicken’ that has been washed with ammonia and then chemically dyed to this ‘natural colour’. So the chicken that is worth keeping (breast fillets, legs, wings and so on) are taken away before Ronald Smashes the carcass into mush, fries it and feeds it to you.

Anyone remember the MacRib?
The ‘meat’ in this tasty pork rib sandwich contained some of the same materials as a yoga mat. Go on, admit it, you ate sponge didn’t you?
I must admit my favourite thing from Mcdonald’s is the strawberry milkshake (when the fucking machine works) and guess what? Apparently, real strawberries are expensive. So they choose to use a ridiculous concoction of 50 chemicals to effectively imitate the flavor of one real-world food. These chemicals include ethyl acetate, phenythyl alcohol and solvent. Pass me that screen wash, I’m thirsty!

It can’t be that bad can it? Surely the lovely people down at the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) won’t let them serve this shit? WRONG! The FDA approved the use of bacteriophages (a.k.a. viruses) that help kill these dangerous microbes. So, basically, viruses are purposely being added to your food to improve shelf life.
Mcdonald’s, along with other fast food outlets and production companies are guilty of pushing guidelines to the limits. A more accurate name for fast food cheese and other packaged cheeses is "cheese-like substance." Any cheese product labeled as processed or pasteurized includes additives, chemicals and flavorings that account for up 49 percent of the total product. As a result, that cheap cheese in your grocery store has just enough real cheese in it to allow companies to call it cheese. Same goes for the meat. Burgers are measured by ‘chuck’, that’s the ratio of meat to fat and other shite that is thrown in for good luck. Mcdonald’s figures even show that their ¼ pound burger is 48% water!

So I’ll play it safe and get a salad…

Think Again! Choosing to "eat healthy" at a fast food restaurant isn't necessarily a good idea. To prolong crispness, packaged salads are dusted with Propylene Glycerol, a chemical commonly found in antifreeze. In its concentrated form, the chemical has been known to cause eye and skin irritation.

To finish the 'what's in it' section with a bang I'm going to show you an experiment that somebody has carried out. We all know that bread, meat, cheese and potatoes will perish after a certain amount of time, normally a matter of weeks before it shows... Please take a second to look at this Mcdonald's meal that has been left untouched for TWO YEARS!

As you can see, it has hardly perished and their is no sign of mould. This is just an indication of what this shit is made of, just think what it is doing inside your stomach! If bacteria wouldn't touch it, I wouldn't advise giving it to your kids! this clearly shows that the food contains chemicals that would kill bacteria!

So there you have it, not only does Ronald exploit your children (who see on average 10,000 Mcdonald’s adverts a year) they also sell you extremely poor quality chemical ridden food while exploiting animals and staff.
WHAT's wrong with McDonald's is also wrong with all the junk-food chains like Wimpy, Kentucky Fried Chicken, etc. All of them hide their ruthless exploitation of resources, animals and people behind a facade of colourful gimmicks and 'family fun’. The food itself is much the same everywhere - only the packaging is different. The rise of these firms means less choice, not more. They are one of the worst examples of industries motivated only by profit, and geared to continual expansion.
This materialist mentality is affecting all areas of our lives, with giant conglomerates dominating the marketplace, allowing little or no room for people to create genuine choices. But alternatives do exist, and many are gathering support every day from people rejecting big business in favour of small-scale self-organisation and co-operation.
The point is not to change McDonald's into some sort of vegetarian organisation, but to change the whole system itself. Anything less would still be a rip-off.
McDonald's is one of several giant corporations with investments in vast tracts of land in poor countries, sold to them by the dollar-hungry rulers (often military) and privileged elites, evicting the small farmers that live there growing food for their own people. It is common knowledge that the US is backing Israel in the illegal confiscation of Palestine, is this reason a contributor?
The power of the US dollar means that in order to buy technology and manufactured goods, poor countries are trapped into producing more and more food for export to the States. Out of 40 of the world's poorest countries, 36 export food to the USA – the wealthiest.
Some 'Third World' countries, where most children are undernourished, are actually exporting their staple crops as animal feed - i.e. to fatten cattle for turning into burgers in the 'First World'. Millions of acres of the best farmland in poor countries are being used for our benefit - for tea, coffee, tobacco, etc. - while people there are starving. McDonald's is directly involved in this economic imperialism, which keeps such natives poor and hungry while many of us grow fat.
